Josh Lewis, a senior at Westover Christian Academy signed to play basketball with Averett University.
Josh set a WCA record for points with 1,719 points and 766 rebounds. Josh also holds school records for blocks with 161 and 37 double-doubles. Josh led the Bulldogs to the 2022 VACA Championship and was named 2023 VACA Player of the Year and Division 3 Second team all-VISAA. Josh was a 4-year starter on the varsity team and led the Bulldogs to 4 straight VACA final four appearances and the first appearance at the VISAA State Tournament.
Josh Lewis had offers from multiple schools but chose to stay close to home. Josh will officially begin his career with the Cougars when practice starts over the summer.
