Last Thursday, cross country competed with Holy Cross and Christian Heritage.  Our MS girls (who run 1.7 miles)  won 17-22 as Gracie Johnson placed first overall with a time of 13:26.  LaiCie Walker placed third overall (14:39), and Kaleigh Johnson fourth overall (14:54)

MS boys placed 2nd with a score of 20.  Third, fourth, and fifth were WCA runners.  Christopher Bowman (12:36), Blake Johnson (12:44), and Colston Ware (12:45).

Varsity girls and boys run 3.1 miles to compete.  Varsity girls won with all five of our runners placing in the top six.  Leading the way was Noelle Stewart (25:52), Lanie Crumpton (26:27), Reagan Massengale (27:18), and Taylor Waller (27:21).

Varsity boys won as Noah Barber ran 20:09 (personal best) to place first overall.  WCA runners placed 4th (Grayson Buckley), 5th (Nathan Crozier), and sixth (Grayson Bettendorf).

On Tuesday, we competed with Oak Ridge Military Academy and Roanoke Valley and did very well.

MS girls won 17-21 as three of the top four runners were from WCA.  Gracie Johnson first (14:11), Laicie Walker 2nd (14:36), and Kaleigh Johnson 4th (15:11).

MS boys placed four out of top five and cruised 12-26.  Colston Ware 1st (12:45), Christopher Bowman 2nd (12:46), Blake Johnson 4th (13:37), and Keely Bettendorf 5th (14:05).

Varsity girls placed 2nd with Lanie Crumpton, Taylor Waller, Reagan Massengale, and Noelle Stewart all placing 4th-7th respectively.

Varsity boys placed 2nd with Noah Barber 2nd overall (21:04).  7th-9th overall was Grayson Bettendorf, Nathan Crozier, and Grayson Buckley.

Next competition is Friday, Sept. 13 @WCA against Community Baptist and Holy Cross.
