Project Literacy, directed by Laura Powell, is a non-profit, community-based organization that is dedicated to improving literacy rates among adults in Danville, Virginia. They firmly believe that literacy is the foundation of education, opportunity, and social and civic participation.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, they have currently suspended all tutoring operations. They are looking into online tutoring options moving forward, depending on how long this pandemic lasts. Check out their website at www.danvilleliteracy.org for details.
