All about the HEART! ❤️ This week in 1st grade Mrs. Beach’s class explored our mighty muscles… the heart! They explored the special jobs God designed for their hearts. They even got to listen to their friends hearts and created their own “heart” to show how it pumps blood. 🩸

This week 1st grade has discussed the parts of our teeth, the different jobs God designed our teeth for and ways to keep them healthy! On Friday they performed an experiment to show the importance of eating healthy foods and drinking healthy drinks.
One “tooth” was in water and one “tooth” was in a sugary drink. No matter how hard and how much they brushed they could not get their “tooth” sparkly and white again! 🦷🥛🍎

Fifth graders really enjoyed Dave Clark’s presentation of the Civil War. He talked about the challenges of both sides and had various articles to pass around.
