🍬 Government class got a little sweeter today! Students used gummy bears to represent different systems of government, bringing an abstract concept to life in a fun, hands-on way. Who knew learning about government could be this delicious? 🇺🇸📚

Our 6th graders are learning more than just history—they’re learning respect, responsibility, and proper flag etiquette! Students learned how to properly raise and lower both the American flag and Virginia state flag, making sure the flags never touch the ground. They also practiced the proper triangle fold (13-fold) for the American flag. Beginning tomorrow, our 6th graders will take on this special responsibility throughout the school year. Each week, two students will be selected to raise the flags, while two others will lower and properly fold them. We’re proud of our 6th graders for taking on this meaningful tradition and learning to honor the flags. 🇺🇸❤️
