It’s Book Fair Week at WCA, and our 3rd graders had so much fun visiting the Book Fair today! They loved browsing all the books, making their wish lists, and finding some new favorites! A HUGE thank you to our wonderful librarian and all of the amazing volunteers who have worked so hard to make the Book Fair possible! We appreciate all the time, planning, and effort that goes into making this such a fun and special week for our students. There’s just something exciting about seeing kids get excited over BOOKS! In Kindergarten we have been studying community helpers in Social Studies. We dressed up as a community helper that we might want to be when we grow up. Such a fun day!

4th grade enjoyed creating a model arthropod in science this week.

A big THANK YOU to the Danville Fire Department and Chief Irving for bringing the Fire Safety House to our 3rd graders! 🚒🔥 Our students had a great time learning and practicing what to do in case of a fire: STOP, DROP, ROLL & COVER! We appreciate you helping keep our students safe! ❤️🚒

Sixth grade has been studying vertebrates and invertebrates. Today we had fun experimenting with mealworms to see how they respond to different stimuli. 🪱

First Grade enjoyed a visit from our community firefighters today! We learned about fire safety, when to call 911, and to not be afraid of a firefighter in their gear in case of an emergency!
